The White Sox took their first win in Atlanta, 6-5

Andrew Benintendi raced through three rounds and Jake Burger hit his 20th home run as the visiting Chicago White Sox beat the Braves 6-5 on Saturday for a franchise-first win in Atlanta.

The White Sox entered the game 0-7 on the road against the Braves, but scored the last two runs – including a Burger tiebreaker solo homer in the sixth – and snapped their three-game losing streak.
Ronald Acuna Jr. of Atlanta won 3-for-5 with two homers to lose.
Benintendi went 3-for-5 with two goals and a score. In seven career games against Atlanta, he batted . 464 (13-of-28) with eight RBI, seven runs and three doubles.
Chicago starter Lance Lynn (6-8) pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed four runs with six hits, three walks and six strikeouts.
Reliever Kendall Graveman gave up one solo homer to Acuna in ninth and let the runners in the corner before stopping Sean Murphy in game-ending doubles. Graveman got his eighth save.
Atlanta starter Spencer Strider (11-3) pitched six innings and gave up five runs with eight hits and 10 hits. It was his seventh game in double-digit strikeouts and increased his league-leading total to 176, but he saw his eight-game winning streak come to an end.
The White Sox scored three touchdowns in the third inning. Benintendi took the lead in the first half and scored twice as Luis Robert Jr. threw a left that worked past left winger Eddie Rosario for two double hits
The Braves leveled the score by three runs in the bottom of the third. Rosario hit a solo homer, his 15th, and Acuna added a two-run homer
The White Sox took 4-3 in the fifth when Rosario converted Benintendi’s single for a double, allowing Seby Zavala to score. Rosario dropped out of the game in the next inning with a torn right hamstring
The Braves tied it in the bottom half of the inning when Ozzie Albies tripled and scored on single Austin Riley with two outs
Chicago regained the lead in sixth as Burger hit a homer into right field and added insurance on Benintendi’s single RBI in seventh.
