Atlanta starter Spencer Strider (11-3) pitched six innings and gave up five runs with eight hits and 10 hits. It was his seventh game in double-digit strikeouts and increased his league-leading total to 176, but he saw his eight-game winning streak come to an end.

The White Sox scored three touchdowns in the third inning. Benintendi took the lead in the first half and scored twice as Luis Robert Jr. threw a left that worked past left winger Eddie Rosario for two double hits

The Braves leveled the score by three runs in the bottom of the third. Rosario hit a solo homer, his 15th, and Acuna added a two-run homer

The Braves tied it in the bottom half of the inning when Ozzie Albies tripled and scored on single Austin Riley with two outs

Chicago regained the lead in sixth as Burger hit a homer into right field and added insurance on Benintendi’s single RBI in seventh.
