Ted Lieu Demands To Know Why Trump Keeps Bending At Russia’s Knees

Representative Ted Lieu (D-CA) asked why Donald Trump was bending at the Russian knee. “In the office, Donald Trump knelt in front of Vladimir Putin. Outside the office, Trump continued to kneel before Putin. Why?”

Unfortunately, this is still relevant, because not only are House Republicans trying to pave the way for Russia to interfere in the 2024 election, but Trump is still supporting Russia in their war of aggression against Ukraine.

Trump called for an end to US support for Ukraine, claiming – as Russian propaganda has done – that by supporting Ukraine against Putin’s alarming expansionist hostility, we are pushing towards World War III.

It is also an interesting appeasement policy framework for the current situation, as it inadvertently compares Putin to Hitler and recalls British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain declaring “Peace to our time” after the appeasement policy of the 1938 Munich Agreement allowed Nazi Germany to take part of Czechoslovakia, because Britain and France refused to help the Czechs fight back.

We saw what happened when those countries gave in to expansionist Hitler in favor of “peace”, six months later, Hitler spat on the treaty and ordered his troops to march on Prague. One year later, Guardian remember, England and France were at war with Germany.

In fact, should World War III happen, there will be no one to blame but Putin and those who championed Putin’s aggression and illegal invasion of Ukraine. Putin did not have good intentions in his invasion, in fact he continues to try to destroy western democracy. Anyone who repeats Putin’s propaganda about WWIII as a reason NOT to support Ukraine is not only utterly ignorant, but comparatively supports an expansionist like Hitler for a gullible hopium attack.

Here’s a little bit about Trump “statement” by “The 45th President of the United States”– puts fear in quotes because he presents this as if he were a legitimate statesman as president, when in fact he has repeatedly endangered the US and consistently endangered the safety of the American people, while siding with power hostile foreigners.

Note: The following statement contains some misleading comments.

“Joe Biden should not be dragging us further into World War III by sending cluster munitions to Ukraine—he should be trying to end the war and stop the horrific death and destruction caused by incompetent administration.

There is no clearer proof that Joe Biden’s policy of endless war in Ukraine has greatly weakened the United States… Joe Biden has vainly and dangerously ushered us into World War III, which will be a nightmare beyond imagination—annihilation!

…

We must stop this madness, immediately end the bloodshed in Ukraine, and refocus on America’s vital interests…. We must have “PEACE THROUGH POWER” and in a short time, the 2024 Presidential election will produce that result.”

As usual, Donald Trump is lying and misleading.

Russia has been using its own cluster munitions against Ukraine for more than a year. Russia invaded Ukraine, killed its people including pregnant women and children, left Ukraine with no choice but to defend itself or submit to Putin and hand over its independence and freedoms to ruthless authoritarians.

Putin’s Russia is not a bastion of freedom; it was a tightly controlled propaganda environment, where people didn’t even know what was really going on. This is the environment Trump has pushed to install in the US, as he oversees democratic decline as president and continues to push to align it.

President Biden does not have a “policy of endless war on Ukraine.” This is Putin’s policy of endless war. Putin and his supporters, such as Donald Trump. Biden and our western allies are helping Ukraine because they understand that Ukraine represents the fate of western democracy.

Surrendering to Putin’s aggression against Ukraine would seriously injure an already faltering global democracy, which is exactly the result Putin wanted.

In January 2023, Russian propaganda expert Julia Davis wrote about Russia is being prepared through propaganda for the rapid decline in living standards, “The Soviet treatment adopted by many Russian propagandists was intended to condition the people against the rapid decline in living standards to which many of them were accustomed. An authoritarian needs people to believe he is keeping them safe. A relatively decent standard of living was also important, as hungry people had little to lose by rebelling. If a decent standard of living cannot be maintained, people must be brainwashed into blaming their opponents for this country as well as, if necessary, themselves. They will be shown others who have prospered under Putin’s aggressive and treacherous dictatorship.

After the Wagner group uprising, Putin warned the west not to try to take advantage of their weaknesses, which I noted at the time was an unreasonable request considering that Putin and his accomplices had been exploiting the weaknesses of the west for years to undermine. western democracy.

The web of oversold lies on the Right and the alleged Far Left is dangerous gaslighting meant to cloud alignment with Putin over democracy.

No one enjoys being drawn into a conflict with global consequences, but history has taught us that these will not be resolved simply by surrendering to the forces of right.

It is certainly noteworthy as Trump, the twice impeached and repeatedly impeached frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination, continues to kneel to Russia that what he is really saying is ‘give up on Putin.’

Now, why is the presidential candidate pushing his uninformed and cult base to give up on Putin and stop supporting Ukraine ahead of the 2024 election?

Trump’s policy is actually a policy of weakness. The position is that we should let Putin do whatever he wants. Donald Trump, as the Right likes to say, is a “cuck” to Putin, who helped Trump win in 2016. So it is very self-serving that Trump’s policy is Russia First, not America First.
