Shaping the future of Web3 work: Intropia joins Cointelegraph Accelerator

The nascent nature of the Web3 landscape, together with the complexity of the technical skills involved in crypto and blockchain related work, makes it difficult for most companies to find the right talent. On the other hand, Web3 professionals are also having a hard time finding new opportunities on mainstream job platforms designed primarily for Web2 careers. Even where there is an ideal match for employers and talent, the remote-focused work expectations of the post-pandemic era create barriers to traditional recruiter candidate onboarding processes.

The latest entrant to the Cointelegraph Accelerator, a startup driver leveraging Cointelegraph’s media capabilities, Intropia is a recognition-based Web3 talent ecosystem that leverages the community-centric nature of Web3 to solve talent barriers that threaten industry growth. To get a clear profile of current Web3 talent, Intropia conducted a Web3 Talent Survey with the contributions of over 1,500 Web3 professionals. The survey showed that the Web3 ecosystem offers a wide range of talent, from coding experts to hard-core traders, most of whom prefer remote or freelance work and want to use pseudonyms. Most of the respondents (80%) work on several projects simultaneously, having one main job and freelancing for several other jobs.

Overall, the average Web3 talent will have difficulty filling out job applications in the traditional business world, as a CV with “Web3Nakamoto” in the name section will hardly receive the review it deserves. That’s why Intropia focuses solely on professional skills and helping Web3 talent find their next gig based on their past experience.

Intropia’s onboarding dynamics turn the entire ecosystem of participants into potential recruiters. Web3 users can refer friends, colleagues or someone from their network for job vacancies to contribute to finding the ideal talent — monetizing their professional network in the process, receiving a portion of the recruitment fees from the Intropia platform. This way, even if an ideal candidate misses a particular job posting, someone from their network can see it and refer them to the job, helping Web3’s talent pool grow sustainably.

Professionals can create their Web3-friendly profile on Intropia and seek new opportunities in a gamified environment, while Web3 projects can post detailed job descriptions to attract new talent.

Launching in early 2023, the Cointelegraph Accelerator Program leverages Cointelegraph’s leading position in the media landscape and builds a global audience to help promising Web3 companies reach their full potential.
