Netflix launches ‘My Netflix’, a new tab for trailers, reminders and more

Netflix today launched a new shortcut option for mobile users who want to quickly find their favorite titles and things to watch. Dubbed “My Netflix,” this feature acts as a dedicated space for recently watched movies and TV shows, downloaded titles, trailers, reminders for upcoming titles, “Continue Watching” liked (thumbs up) titles, a “My List” section, and more.

“My Netflix” replaces the “Downloads” tab located in the bottom-right corner of the screen, the company said.

This new feature allows viewers to easily access all the series and movies they want to watch in one place. Also, in our opinion, the My List location on the home screen is too far down and requires a lot of scrolling to find. Going to the “My Netflix” tab can cut down on endless swiping and browsing through Netflix’s huge library of titles.

“Keep in mind that the more you interact and tell Netflix what you like, like saving more action-thrillers like ‘Extraction 2’ to My List or giving the thumbs up to each season of ‘Bridgerton’, the more you’ll see on the Netflix My tab,” Netflix noted on the blog today.

The new destinations are available on iOS devices starting today and will launch on Android devices in early August.

Separately, Netflix reported its second-quarter results last week, gaining 5.9 million subscribers for a total of 238.4 million global members.
