LSU Professor Allegedly Left Depressed Voice Messages and Wished Death to State Senators Who Voted to Ban Gender Change for Minors (AUDIO) | Gatekeeper
On Tuesday, the Louisiana legislature voted to override a veto on a bill that would have outlawed hormone therapy and puberty inhibitors for minors.
Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards previously vetoed the bill, which was passed by the legislature in June.
Republicans gained a supermajority in March when State Representative Francis Thompson switched parties in the State House. However, they failed to rule out two other laws that would have kept sexuality from being discussed in schools and another that required teachers to use the pronouns given to a child at birth, according to Breitbart News.
The overturning of this veto seemed to have completely enraged Professor Marcus Venable of Louisiana State University, who allegedly left an extremely angry voice message for an elected official threatening death. He called Senator Mike Fesi a “big fat-headed mom” and said he “can’t wait to read your name on the obituary.”

I just want to say ‘Congratulations, to our State Senator, Big Mike Fesi. And that moron chose to make things worse for people who were already suffering. You’re so fat. You provided no evidence to support the claims you made about people being harmed by transgender treatment, but we do have ample empirical evidence that tells us that there is an increased risk of suicide for people who do not receive this treatment. So you, you fat bastard, I can’t wait to read your name in the damn obituary. I’ll make a goddamn martini made of your butthurt conservative tears when we put your ass in the dirt, you fat, useless bullshit. Damn you. I hope you’re having a bad day. Fuck yourselfffffff.

Although there is no “Marcus Venable” in LSU faculty directorythere is “Marcus Venable” listed as a 2017-2018 “group” in the Department of Sociology at LSU. He is also listed as a “Professor in the Department of Sociology” at LSU. Screenshot of comments left by students for “Marcus Venable”. ratemyprofessors.com showing that he seems to be quite political and vulgar. One student said “he always tried to force his opinion on others” while another said “he used sexual harassment as an example for everything”. Another claim is that he can “drive you crazy” if you internally disapprove of his politics. The same student went on to say “he cursed the whole class when he forced his left-wing political opinions on you.” That same student said his class was the class to take because “attending class will get you straight A’s.”
LSU Class of 2017-2018 Venables’ listing indicates that his interests are “criminology, sexual violence, sex offender recidivism, sex offender registries”.
According to Price, Senator Fesi reported him to the Sheriff who traced his number. We have reached out to Senator Fesi and Professor Venable for comment. They haven’t responded at the time of publishing but we’ll update if they do.
