Jamie Raskin And Dan Goldman Humiliated James Comer

House Oversight Committee members Reps Jamie Raskin and Dan Goldman called on the committee to investigate whether they were duped by witnesses to the Biden scandal, fugitive Chairman James Comer.
Raskin (D-MD) and Goldman (D-NY) wrote to other members of the Oversight Committee:
It appears that Mr. Luft is seeking “whistleblower” status from you in an effort to defend himself from criminal prosecution while being a fugitive from justice. Worse, this latest episode also raises concerns that Mr. Luft may be manipulating your investigation not only for his own interests but possibly as furtherance of the CCP’s efforts to undermine US security interests and that of the President of the United States.
The recent revelations naturally raise broader concerns about the credibility and motivations of other purported whistleblowers that Congressional Republicans have relied on to support baseless and unsubstantiated accusations. Unfortunately, the Luft episode seriously undermined the credibility of the critical reporting function in this agency. We further note that you have declined to share any documents or information you have received from Mr. Luft with the Democratic Oversight Committee. Given your own public support of Mr. Luft, there is no reasonable basis for you to withhold from the Democratic Committee any and all information that Mr. Luft to the Committee, including any information that would lead you to conclude he is “a very credible witness” despite being under indictment and a fugitive from justice.
In order to protect the institutional credibility of the Congress and to assure the American people that the CCP is not using the Republican Party investigation as a tool to undermine the United States government, we urge you to immediately initiate an investigation into whether the Committee may have been unintentionally deceived. by Mr. Luft in furtherance of the interests of the CCP, as well as potentially false statements made by Mr. Luft to Members of Congress or congressional staff. In addition, we ask that you promptly provide the Democratic Committee with all materials and information provided by Mr. Luft to the Committee.
How big of a failure can a committee chairman be that his fellow committee members call for an investigation into whether or not he was duped by the fugitive?
Comer has been a huge embarrassment since the Republicans officially reclaimed the House, and he’s become chairman of the Oversight Committee.
Rep.Comer seems to be operating under the impression that facts don’t matter. If he can come up with sensational enough accusations, eventually, something will stick with President Biden and help Trump win the 2024 election. I have been covering national politics since 2004, and I can’t recall a request like this ever being made by a congressional committee he chairs.
If Comer has shame, he will be humiliated. He stands with a fugitive who committed crimes against the United States.
Rep. Comer is either a clown or corrupt, and both options should disqualify him from chairing the Oversight Committee.
