Chicago shooting: The cyclist was injured by gunfire on the Near North Side, says CPD

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police say a cyclist was injured in a shooting on the Near North Side Sunday morning.

Police said they were called to the 600 block of West Scott Street just before 12:15 p.m. Sunday. They found a 29-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his thigh and arm.

The victim told officers that he heard gunshots and felt sick as he rode his bicycle. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good health.

No one is on hold at this time. Area Three detectives are investigating, CPD said.
