Caught on camera: Dashboard camera video shows the Wisconsin State Police in pursuit, catching an escaped prisoner running across I-294

PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WLS) — Newly released dash cam video shows a high-speed chase involving a man on the run from Park Ridge police.
It happened on Saturday when officers took him to the Lake County, Illinois jail.
The man managed to escape, and went to carjack two different drivers. He physically forced one victim out of their van on I-294, and did the same to a second victim on Northbrook.
The prisoner drove the stolen Camaro to Kenosha County, Wisconsin, where video shows police starting to chase him.
They used the OnStar security service to completely shut down the vehicle before he could go any further.
“Hands up! Hands up! He’s in handcuffs!” An officer was heard saying.
The fugitive, who was originally sought on a warrant, is now back in custody. No word on additional costs yet.
