CHICAGO (WLS) — Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour rocked the city as Beyhive swarmed Soldier Field for the second night.
“He’s amazing,” said Alexia Emziah. “She’s Queen Bey, okay, she does it like no one else can.”
Some retailers are offering last minute tickets for over $500 but many fans say they locked their seats months ago.
“She is the complete package she can sing, she can dance,” said Anika Walker. “I feel like I grew up with him.”
“Me as a black woman and seeing another black woman be able to lead a show of this magnitude, it’s amazing,” said Tiki Brown.
It was also a win for the city of Chicago as many of the bars, restaurants and hotels got a boost from Beyoncé’s back-to-back concerts.
The Weather Mark Tavern treated fans pre-show to some Beyoncé-themed drink specials.
“Having Beyoncé in town is amazing,” said Mark Stern, owner of the Weather Mark Tavern. “It’s bound to bring in more people for us, of course.”
The fun continues in other parts of the city with the Pitchfork Music Festival featuring 40 different bands this weekend in Union Park.
On the North Side, the annual Taste of Lincoln draws crowds for live music and local food favourites.
